Aug 21, 2023 · The economic impact of frequent water supply disruptions from the Selangor River in Malaysia due to technical issues, water pollution, and climate-related problems was estimated using the stock flow measure to assess property at risk, and survey to estimate business loss.
The river water quality was assessed based on a total of 5,083 samples taken from a total of 473 rivers. Out of 473 rivers monitored, 278 (59 percent) were found to be clean, 161 (34 percent) slightly polluted and 34 (7 percent) polluted [ 1 ]. Figure 1 shows the river water quality trend for 2005-2012.
