FOR YEARS NOW, Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Kenney Jones have all spoken of reconvening the Faces, the blues, soul and folk knaves who burned brightly and boozily from 1969 to 1975. There’s still no news, but Faces freaks will take ample comfort from a new reissue campaign kicking off in ’24.
The Faces released four studio albums and toured regularly until the autumn of 1975, although Stewart simultaneously pursued a solo recording career, and during the band’s final year Wood also toured with The Rolling Stones, whom he later joined.

The remaining Small Faces—Ian McLagan (keyboards), Ronnie Lane, and Kenney Jones —were joined by guitarist Ronnie Wood and singer Rod Stewart, both from the Jeff Beck Group, and the new line-up was renamed Faces.
