Final counts are derived from static data and include out of state births to California residents, whereas provisional counts are derived from incomplete and dynamic data.
We are responsible for registering all of the births and deaths that take place within Santa Clara County only. Birth and death certificates, dating back from 1873 to the present, are available from the County of Santa Clara Office of the Clerk-Recorder or call (408) 299-5688 .
