    • Avengers: Endgame. With the success of Avengers: Infinity War just a year prior, its sequel managed to surpass the high box office expectations and become the highest-grossing film of the decade.
    • Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens. The return of one of cinema's biggest franchises did not disappoint financially. When Disney acquired Star Wars, it was only a matter of time before they brought back the franchise, doing so in the form of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

    • Jurassic World. Much like The Lion King, Jurassic World capitalized on its predecessor to make it a hit. With Jurassic Park being such an iconic and recognizable franchise, cashing in on the name was a no-brainer.
