- Point the dish in a general southern direction. Direct TV satellites are located in south, so this will save a bit of time.
- Turn the TV and satellite system on inside the house. Select menu on the remote and scroll down to the system set up button.
- Select System Setup and move the arrow keys until the zip code button is highlighted. Type in the zip code and select ok. The system will analyze your location and give you directional instructions.
