I suspected it had gone to USA English but I cant find a way to get back up English UK Help Please Im sure this should be simple but for the life of me I cants how to change it English USA is stuck in the language box and wont shift. help! thank you in advance
Jul 8, 2013 · If you are using the UK Keyboard, press SHIFT+3. If you are using the US Keyboard, with NumLock on, hold down the ALT key and type 156 on the Keypad. Alt + shift changes the layout on your PC, you have to add the ISO UK layout and switch to it using alt + shift and then press 4 like you would normally to get the pound sign. I do the same, I use ANSI Qwerty as my standard layout and Azerty (BE) as my secondary layout in case I need the specific symbols like €. GeoMB.
For typing the pound sign in the US or other country keyboard layouts, go for Shift, Alt, and number 3 together. Once again, you have to press all of these keys together. Go for Shift + ALT + 3 and it will bring out the British pound sign. In rare cases, the previous one might not work.
Jun 13, 2011 · 1. As already discussed on SuperUser, using the U.S. International keyboard layout that comes supplied in the box with Windows, the pound sign is AltGr + Shift + 4. According to Apple, this is thus Option + Ctrl + Shift + 4 on the MacBook Pro keyboard. I saw that, and I'm afraid neither of those combinations work on my MBP.
