Licenses are issued from the Recorder’s Office, located on the 1 st floor of the Ada County Courthouse, 200 W Front St., Room 1207, Boise, ID 83702. Our office is open Monday – Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, excluding all federal holidays. To obtain a marriage license, both applicants must appear together before the deputy clerk.
A marriage license must be obtained prior to having a ceremony, and may be obtained at the same time as your scheduled ceremony. If you do not schedule an appointment you will be considered a walk-in, and will be served on a first come, first served basis. Walk-ins are welcome from 8:00 am until 3:30 pm daily.
