The new Kona is larger and more mature, with a modern look, a generous array of standard features and more cabin room. It uses the same powertrain lineup as before, with a weak base engine and an optional turbocharged motor offering sufficient pep.
The 2023 Kona starts at $22,140 for the base SE model with front-wheel drive. Stepping up to the SEL adds niceties like 17-inch wheels, Hyundai’s Blue Link telematics system and push-button start, and this trim starts at $23,950.
