Ian McNeice (born 2 October 1950) is an English film and television actor, best known for playing Bert Large in the dramedy Doc Martin.

Ian was living in Los Angeles with his partner Cindy Franke, a production co-ordinator, who he met when they both worked on the Jim Carrey film Ace Ventura. They bought a property in London when he started work on Doc Martin.
