Ajooba (transl. Prodigy) is a 1990 fantasy superhero film, produced and directed by Shashi Kapoor and co-directed by Soviet filmmaker Gennadi Vasilyev. An Indian-Soviet co-production, it is loosely based on Arabic folklore (such as One Thousand and One Nights).
It majorly affected its box office performance. Dia, the character played by Madhuri Dixit, lip-syncs the lines in the "Aaja Nachle" song rendered by Sunidhi Chauhan, Mohalle mein kaisi maara-mar hai; bole mochi bhi khud ko sunaar hai (translated "There is chaos in the neighborhood, even the Mochi (Cobbler) calls himself a Sunaar (Goldsmith)").
