Comedy is tragedy over time. We see tragedy today thrn project it over time. Idiocracy is a projection of fears over time for a reason. Every artists/filmmaker has a goal/moral/take away to their work. Idiocracy's is just very clear.
Idiocracy (2006) Opening Scene: "Evolution does not necessarily reward intelligence. With no natural predators to thin the herd, it began to simply reward those who reproduced the most, and left the intelligent to become an endangered species."
To create that world, it uses the theory that because stupid people have more kids, in the future more people will be stupid. The important point to me is that it doesn't identify any race or group that represents the idiocracy. The intro scene involves white "rednecks," but the film doesn't target them.
Idiocracy: Directed by Mike Judge. With Luke Wilson, Maya Rudolph, Dax Shepard, Terry Crews. Corporal Joe Bauers, a decidedly average American, is selected for a top-secret hibernation program but is forgotten and left to awaken to a future so incredibly moronic that he's easily the most intelligent person alive.
