Aug 13, 2023 · Owner Brendon Salisbury has shared that Il Gatto, which translates to “the cat” in Italian, is a family venture with roots in an earlier establishment. His father, Ron Salisbury, had founded a restaurant named The Cat & the Custard Cup back in approximately 1979, which unfortunately closed its doors during the pandemic.
