The Illinois State Black Chamber Of Commerce (ILBCC) is the largest, most active voice for black businesses in the state. Incorporated in 1997, ILBCC is a member of the National Black Chamber Of Commerce. Founded by President and CEO Mr. Larry D. Ivory, ILBCC promotes job creation and growth among Black-owned businesses.
There are currently less than 1.8% of businesses owned by African Americans in the state of Illinois. To increase equity, inclusion, economic development and wealth in the Black communities, the Illinois Black Chamber of Commerce and its Board of Directors have created goals that will help increase this number to 60% by the year 2025.
