Into the Light is the third solo album by English singer David Coverdale, released by EMI on 25 September 2000 in the UK and by Dragonshed on 21 November in the US. After disbanding his band Whitesnake in 1997, Coverdale was keen on re-establishing himself as a solo artist, having released his previous two solo albums in the late 1970s.

Apr 22, 2020 · The album opens with a short instrumental called “Into the Light” . It has David on guitar and feels like a new beginning or like David is starting fresh and saying this is me. Then the song kicks in to a very blues heavy track called “River Song” which harkens back to the early Whitesnake and Deep Purple sound.
