James Toback Biography (1944-) Born November 23, 1944, in New York, NY; son of Irwin Lionel (a stockbroker)and Selma (maiden name, Levy) Toback; married Consuelo Sarah Churchill Rusell, April 26, 1968 (divorced).
His father, Irwin Lionel Toback, was a stockbroker and former vice president of Dreyfus & Company. In an interview, Toback revealed that while attending Harvard College, he took what is claimed to be the largest single dose of LSD in history. For 8 long days, he remained under the influence of the drug.
