Jun 21, 2020 · The most fascinating thing about Ovid and the Art of Love is its juxtaposition of political problems faced by ancient Romans and those faced by U.S. citizens today. To set the film in Detroit, where we see America’s neglect of it’s less-fortunate most clearly, was very poignant. It’s sad but also wonderful to see Detroit as it stands.
