"What to Expect" is a cheerful comedy with just enough dark moments to create the illusion it's really about something. It toplines Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, Elizabeth Banks, Anna Kendrick and Brooklyn Decker as prospective mothers, and as three live births are intercut, Diaz wins the screaming contest as people shout "push! push!" at her.
Parents need to know that What to Expect When You're Expecting is a fairly funny but also formulaic ensemble comedy with little resemblance to the same-named line of pregnancy health books it was inspired by. There are plenty of references to the symptoms and complaints of pregnancy, for sure -- expect….

May 18, 2012 · This movie is my favorite feel-good flick and 9 out of 10 times it's my go to for an easy late night comedy. That isn't to say it is a gut- busting laugh-fest but it EASILY ranks higher than a chuckle.

User Reviews. This film is about several couples who are expecting babies. They run into various troubles and emotional rollercoasters while preparing themselves for parenthood. "What to Expect When You're Expecting" is a lighthearted comedy that makes you laugh, just like what is advertised.
