Reading the story and living through her adventure I also learned some things about myself. The story is simple but profound. Inspirational that even I would love to travel there myself one day. If you like true stories about adventure and also that of a female adventurer then this story is for you. Kudos for a great book.
This is a very detailed (true) story about men trying to survive in a very hostile environment in c. 1915. Stark and full of detail, the reader almost gets to feel the cold, hunger and pain the crew experienced while trying to survive Antarctica and return to civilization. it's amazing that anyone survived this ordeal let alone all of them.
