9. Reply. bluewhalesarelarge. • 2 yr. ago. Upsides good school (highly ranked with a lot of good Professors) good price, good community of people. Downsides: public institutions so the infrastructure isn’t great IMO, also not a lot of networking opportunities outside of the school (only thing better is NYC) 3. Reply.

I’m a high school Junior who wants to major in political science and then go into law after undergrad. Binghamton University is my top choice since it is ranked the best public university in the state, it’s not too far from where I live, and I would have little to no debt. I have an SAT score of 1440 (Reading is 760, Math is 680)

Meanwhile Binghamton's campus is also pretty big, but you could still walk from one side to the other without worrying. Also, Buffalo's bus system is completely garbage, my aunt lives there so I've been there often enough to confirm. In Binghamton we have both the county buses and the school buses, and they're both free for students.
Value, nature preserve, has a good reputation within New York State and know a good number of people who went to Ivy League grad school programs. Terrific value for in state students. Worst The city. The social life, Binghamton has good people, bright ones but not extraordinary interesting ones. Most are bright kids from the northeast.
