Crimson Tide (1995) is a fantastic submarine thriller. Directed by Tony Scott, produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. and with a script doctored by Quentin Tarantino about a young officer trying to prevent his commanding officer from launching warheads before receiving full orders to do so leading to chaos and mutiny aboard the sub.

Very well made military drama. mstomaso 28 May 2005. The suspense is relentless in this believable, tense and superbly acted war drama. One of the best modern war movies I have seen, Crimson Tide is a story about strained loyalty, respect, command, discipline, power, and military practice.
