A good case in point would be using the wizard's guild basement to cast this as you high alch any garbage in your inventory or something that provides a break-even point for your nature runes. Seeing how effective it was, I thought it would be a good idea to try it on other monsters.

Nov 24, 2007 · So, in that example, if I wanted to maximize my HP exp, I would obviously choose fire blast over the air strike, because, when getting the same amount of magic XP, I get more HP exp. That was just an example, does anyone know what the best option would be?
Is Iban Blast overpowered? Discussion. It's literally the highest hitting spell until you get Ice Blitz at 82 magic with desert treasure or you buy a trident of the swamp (about 4.4m as of now) which will hit harder at 84 magic. It also has an extremely low rune cost compared to Ice Blitz.
Scaling on combat level of the target would probably make crumble undead the best way to level magic at low levels assuming there's some decent targets for it. It could even have a max hit that it checks first based on a monster, but have the damage be capped with a magic lv. Robes from Warding obviously.
