Thanks. -65 is guaranteed to always splash on anything, get higher than -65 and you should be good. if you're meleeing bring slayer staff to auto cast crumble undead, the staff will make you're magic bonus high enough not to splash and you won't have to take anything off. take off your dh legs before you cast and you'll be fine.

The next upgrade over Iban blast is a Trident of the Swamp. When I compared them, trident showed 15% more dps, but 3 times higher gp cost per damage dealt. However, due to all the running around, and not using magic vs one brother, the run time decrease by using a better spell would be much lower than 15%, probably something like 5%.
