Sep 16, 2015 · So I picked one of them and started leafing through it when I was surprised to see that Rolling Stone gave this album a 5 star review. I remember I didn't like the singles so I never bothered with it, but I was not aware of this kind of -IMO- over the top reactions.

Nov 15, 2017 · Unfortunately, those Jagger/Stones fans who heard the powerful “God Gave Me Everything” on the radio and then bought Goddess in the Doorway —thinking they were getting a whole album’s worth of similarly impressive songs—must be licking their wounds right now. In actual fact, sappy, string-drenched ballads are the order of the day.
