- Instead it is a film made up of moments that may work in a trailer but as a feature length film it lacks impetus and the moments where it strives for something more profound falls short. Joseph Gordon Levitt clearly has fun as the titular Hesher but it is a pretty hollow experience with underdeveloped characters and subplots that never quite add up to a satisfying whole.
