  1. Legend of the Wolf is amazing. Donnie Yen made what is one of the best martial arts films from the 90's. Visually the film has a great colour-scheme (green/yellow, very saturated). The photography doesn't look low-budget at all, and there's a nice village and forest where the film takes place.

  2. The movie's only real good part is the action climax. Rated 3/5 Stars • Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/05/23 Full Review Audience Member Yen should be ashamed. Yes he should.

  7. Jan 2, 2011 · Joe909’s Rating: 8.5/10. By Numskull. I had a dozen reasons to dislike this movie, but I liked it anyway. It’s a spiffy little tale of blood and cheese directed by Donnie Yen, whose talent is more evident here than in the bland Ballistic Kiss (the film with the greatest literal title of all time: “Kill Some People Dance A Little”).

  8. Jul 19, 2002 · There’s nothing quite like watching a movie like Legend of the Wolf (or any of Donnie Yen’s recent directorial endeavors). It’s so self-assured, so blatant, and so… bad. And yet you have to admire how seriously, how melodramatically Yen takes everything — his acting, the scenes, the storyline.
