• 6 min. ago. Interrobangersnmash. What do you guys think about "Mary and the Witch's Flower?" Discussion. Obviously not a Ghibli movie, but certainly one of the most "Ghibli-adjacent" movies ever made. Finally watched this after putting it off forever.
Anyone who watched Mary and The Witch's Flower? I felt it was ok in terms of the story and characters-i liked its Ghibli-esque animation style and the music. Although it's not a Ghibli movie, it reall looked like one, though it really lacked the main aspects of a Ghibli movie, such as depth, a cast of unique characters, a good storyline, etc.
May 2, 2024 · The 2D animation in “Mary and the Witch’s Flower” (Meari to majo no hana) is beautiful, colorful, bright and engaging from start to finish. It’s a lot better than the choppy, plastic-like 3D animation in the 2020 Ghibli film “Earwig and the Witch” .
