When I read it in high school, I was in love with the characters, with how the characters loved each other, and with the “us against the world “mentality. Now as an adult, I see how poorly written the characters are, particularly Dally.

The cast in this movie is fabulous, with youngster versions of Rob Lowe, Tom Cruise, Diane Lane, and Matt Dillon.
