I am visiting lanzarote - Costa Teguise - Santa Rosa apartments at the end of June this year, I am wondering if it is possible to get to Timanfaya by bus - and then take the bus tour around the national park (and of course return)? If this is possible do you have any idea on cost?
May 14, 2019 · Opening Hours. The Park is open from 9am to 5pm. If driving yourself, it is wise to avoid between 11am and 3pm when most of the tour buses arrive. The best hours to visit are between 3 and 5pm when the number of visitors drops. The entrance fee is reduced from €10 to €8 per person at this time.
Following the LZ-67 road you can easily reach Timanfaya by following the road signs. Once in the park, you will have to get to the car park, which is well signposted at the entrance. Once there, you can start the usual route to Timanfaya by bus, or rather, by guagua.
An exotic alternative to visiting Timanfaya National Park on foot or by bus is on a camel’s back. This trip, on payment, begins at the Echadero de Cabellos (Camel Farm) an area situated alongside the LZ-67 road on the eastern border of the park.
