The Route of the Volcanoes is the most popular bus tour in Timanfaya National Park. Travel by bus (or guagua, as the Canarians say) and enjoy striking views of the park’s volcanic landscape. The tour departs from the Islet Hilario Visitor Center every 15 minutes and goes past volcanic craters, lava fields, and mountains covered in volcanic ash.
Unfortunately the local bus does not arrive until Timanfaya and the nearest bus stop are too far from the park. If you do not want to hire a car, you can book a trip with a agency.There are several trips that includes Timanfaya.

If you’ve come with an excursion, you’ll get back on your bus to tour the park. If you’ve come by car, queue up for the orange bus near the gift store.
I am visiting lanzarote - Costa Teguise - Santa Rosa apartments at the end of June this year, I am wondering if it is possible to get to Timanfaya by bus - and then take the bus tour around the national park (and of course return)? If this is possible do you have any idea on cost?
May 14, 2019 · Opening Hours. The Park is open from 9am to 5pm. If driving yourself, it is wise to avoid between 11am and 3pm when most of the tour buses arrive. The best hours to visit are between 3 and 5pm when the number of visitors drops. The entrance fee is reduced from €10 to €8 per person at this time.
1 review. Options to visit Timanfaya National Park. 13 years ago. Save. I have never been to the National Park and have been told it is worth a visit. My question relates to what is the best way to see it. Some suggestions that have been made are- Hire car. Tourist bus (although this was not recommended as can be expensive) Taxi.
