Before starting the visit, we advise you to check out the Visitor Centre located in Mancha Blanca, which gives free access to an exhibition and an audiovisual programme offering a complete overview of the Park in several languages. The Route of the Volcanoes is the most popular bus tour in Timanfaya National Park. Travel by bus (or guagua , as the Canarians say) and enjoy striking views of the park’s volcanic landscape. The tour departs from the Islet Hilario Visitor Center every 15 minutes and goes past volcanic craters, lava fields, and mountains covered in volcanic ash.
I am visiting lanzarote - Costa Teguise - Santa Rosa apartments at the end of June this year, I am wondering if it is possible to get to Timanfaya by bus - and then take the bus tour around the national park (and of course return)? If this is possible do you have any idea on cost?

No public transport that goes up to the National Park that I know of. Best bet is hire a car then you can go when it suits you. I suggest reasonably early in the morning (opens at 10am I think) before the queues get too big.
