Depends on the job. South campus major here, not great for finance or consulting compared to NYU or some of the top business schools. However, UCLA has a solid worldwide reputation that could definitely get you an interview for jobs on the east coast or outside the country.
Common jobs that allow for studying while on the clock: Working the front desk (especially overnight) / Access Control in the dorms; jobs within the Student Union through ASUCLA; many jobs through UCLA Library; parking attendant with UCLA Transportation. Hi guys, I am a bruin who wants a little extra money and I move to the area around August 13th. I want to get a job thinking either at a restaurant, tutoring, or even on-campus work. Does anyone have advice/the best way to pursue this? Thanks a bunch.
I worked at UCLA for 14 years and really enjoyed my time there. It's a gorgeous campus and there's always something going on. It can be kind of a beast to get in and out of westwood when school is in session, so I'd aim to live near campus to avoid a long commute.
everyone always said on campus jobs were easy but i applied to three and never got any, i even applied to the store and my friend heard back while i didn’t. is there anywhere in westwood or a good place to work that will give me min 20 hours?
