Chan Kong-Sang was the name given to Jackie Chan by his parents Charles and Lee-Lee Chan when he was born in 1954 on Hong Kong’s famous Victoria Peak. Jackie Chan holds Chinese and American citizenship/nationality, but his ethnicity is Asian. He follows the Buddhism religion. Chan is a Chinese Buddhist but does not talk about his faith. He grew up in Hong Kong for six years before being sent to China at Peking Opera School which was run by Master Yu Jim-Yuen. At the school, he excelled in acrobatics singing, and martial arts. He earned his black belt under grand master Jin Pal Kim who also trained his in Taekwondo, Karate, Judo and Jeet Kune Do.
