Jamie Raven is a magician who placed as the Runner-Up of Series 9 of Britain's Got Talent.

Raven's audition was shown after the magician Jeffrey Drayton, a comedic magician, to show contrast between the acts. In his audition, he produced four £50 notes, before changing them into 'Bank of Britain's Got Talent' notes-with the Judges' faces drawn on them. Jamie then got the four Judges to pick a card between them. David, Alesha and Amanda picked a colour, a suit and a number respectively, before Simon used the chance to change the card completely. Jamie then revealed that he had drawn a 'flipbook' picture on the back of each card. The flipbook revealed a magician taking off his hat and pulling out of it the card that Simon had chosen. Simon commented 'I know this sounds crazy, but I now actually believe in magic', whilst David described Raven's performance as 'a world-class trick'.

In the Semi-Finals, Jamie began by making a deck of cards 'appear' from an empty box. He then revealed that each card had a word chosen by the audience written on, and asked each Judge to choose a card. He then asked the Judges to reveal the item on their card, before making each item appear with David's being a Goldfish which appeared within a glass of water, Alesha's being a block of Ice after Jamie seemingly created the Ice by burning paper, turning fire into water and water into Ice, Simon's being a shoe before Jamie took off one of his shoes, and Amanda's being a Helicopter which were revealed to have been behind a large piece of paper held at the back of the stage. David described Jamie's performance as 'really really stunning [and] really original', with Amanda adding 'I just will you on all the way through your act [and] I think tonight you went large and it worked'. He won the Public Vote and advanced immediately onto the Final.

In the Final, Jamie began by placing a box in front of Alesha. He then revealed a card that Simon had randomly chosen with each card facing upwards barring Simon's chosen card which were the Seven of Diamonds, before asking Alesha to sign a note. Jamie then turned the note into a slip of paper reading 'Look in the box'. Alesha opened the box and revealed a lemon, from which Jamie revealed the note which contained Alesha's signature. Simon remarked 'Seriously you must be a wizard or something as there's no way that was a real Lemon and that ended up in the Lemon, which means magic must be real, it has to', with Alesha adding 'You are incredible, that was amazing to witness and this show is getting better and better and you my friend could win this'. He finished 2nd out of 12 contestants, behind dog act Jules O'Dwyer and Matisse.

During Christmas 2015 and later during 2018 Raven was a member of The Illusionists during their live shows of 'Witness The Impossible', and 'The Best of Broadway'.

A year later he appeared as a guest performer during the final of BGT performing alongside George Sampson, Kieran Gaffney, Ashleigh and Pudsey, Old Men Grooving, Diversity, Spelbound, Collabro, Stavros Flatley and Jon Clegg.

In late 2016 and early 2017, Raven toured actoss 5 countries with his show 'Jamie Raven - Live', playing 120 shows in total. In 2018 he begun his second tour, entitled 'Making Magic'.

Raven was also invited to perform for HRH Prince Charles in December 2018 as part of his Christmas Celebrations.
