Well known for having been a professional skateboarder during skateboarding's very pivotal late 80s and early 90s, Lee would go on to pursue acting in 1993, working in film, television, and voiceover, and with such directors as Kevin Smith, Cameron Crowe, Lawrence Kasdan, and Brad Bird.
Jason was generations ahead of his time, had a bag of tricks no one could touch, and possessed arguably one of the best styles skateboarding has ever seen. Jason would leave jaws dropped everywhere he went with trademark tricks like his kickflips to tailslides, backside flips, and the best 360 flips in the business.
In 1991, Jason joined Blind and scored a part in their magnum opus, Video Days, which is one of the most highly revered skateboarding videos of the 1990s, if not all time. After running the short-lived Blue Skateboards with Pastras, the two friends started the aforementioned Stereo in 1992.

Jason Lee started out as a pro-skater in the late-80s and early-90s, establishing the long-running brand Stereo Skateboards. But the wider public will recognise him from his work as an actor—his unforgettable turn as Earl Hickey in TV series My Name is Earl, and in the films Mallrats, Chasing Amy and Vanilla Sky.
