Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea series was created as an experiment to see how much of an impact aging barrels on a ship would have on a bourbon. According to the company, “each voyage of Jefferson’s Ocean typically crosses the equator four times, visits five continents and over 30 ports on an average sailing.”.

The mashbill for this release is 25-30% rye, the bourbon is sourced from an undisclosed distillery (ies) in Kentucky, and is said to be about 6-7 years old.
