Silver, a Frank Lloyd Wright aficionado, produced such blockbuster hits as Die Hard and Beverly Hills Cop. He enjoys vacationing and entertaining at Auldbrass Plantation whenever his schedule permits. In Hollywood, he lives in Wright’s legendary Storer House, built in 1924.
Auldbrass Plantation or Auldbrass is located in Beaufort County, South Carolina, near the town of Yemassee. [2] [3] The guest house, stable complex and kennels were designed and built by Frank Lloyd Wright from 1939 to 1941. It is one of two structures that Wright designed in South Carolina. [4]

Nov 21, 2015 · Auldbrass is only open to the public one weekend every two years, first weekend in November on odd years (2011,2013,etc). This is a true example of how Frank Lloyd Wright's designs fit right in with nature. Thanks to current owner, movie producer Joel Silver, this farm property is still being restored to Wright's specifications.

Silver is well known as an aficionado of architect Frank Lloyd Wright. In 1984, he bought the Wright-designed Storer House in Hollywood and made considerable investments to restore it to its original condition.
