John Byrne's Next Men (also known as Next Men or JBNM) is an American comic book series written and drawn by John Byrne. The first volume of the series was published by Dark Horse Comics between 1991 and 1995. A nine-issue miniseries was published by IDW Publishing in 2010 and 2011, followed by another series titled Next Men: Aftermath in 2012.

Review by Ian Keogh. To all intents and purposes the two 2011 collections of Next Men concluded matters, completing a story begun in 1992 and put on hold by creator John Byrne two years later. Volume two related a desperate, but successful plan to fix the tampering with time, and gave the Next Men some peace.

Apr 19, 2022 · Next Men was a sci-fi series by John Byrne that explored the dark and realistic consequences of superhuman powers and government conspiracies. It was influenced by Watchmen and Miracleman, but never got the recognition it deserved due to low sales and the comic speculator bubble.
Never mind. Byrne provides a detailed recap over most of the opening chapter. Lies ended with the Next Men possibly preventing a horrendous future caused by their genetically engineered nature, or possibly not, because we saw them being snatched away one by one.
