Mar 18, 2011 · Students say the top two floors of the John E. Jaqua Academic Center for Student Athletes, a three-story $42 million glass cube built on campus last year, are reserved for student athletes.
The unique design, a gleaming cube floating serenely on a surrounding reflecting pond, won an AIA/Portland honor Award. The 40,000-SF Jaqua Center features a 114-seat auditorium, 35 tutor rooms with state-of-the-art technology, 25 faculty/advising offices, conference rooms, flexible classrooms, and a computer lab with 54 computers.
