May 8, 2024 · The 2.7L EcoBoost V6 serves as the base engine in most of the lower trim F-150 models. (With the wonderful exception of the F-150 XL Regular Cab that Ford blesses with the 5.0L V8.) In any case, the 2.7L puts up some decent numbers. 325 horsepower, 400 pound-feet of torque.

May 4, 2024 · The first generation Ford F-150 EcoBoost engines had problems with a timing chain that stretched too much and carbon buildup on the intake valves because of direct injection. Furthermore, 3.5L Ecoboost had issues with condensation in the intercooler and coolant leaks, whereas 2018 – 2019, 2.7 Ecoboost had a leaking oil pan.

I noticed that when the wheels are turned all the way right or left, there is a noise coming from the front end. It is sufficient to move the wheel a wee bit away from full left or full right for the noise to go away...
