After scoring so many lowbrow Hollywood thrillers, it's somewhat inevitable that John Ottman would begin repeating himself -- listening to Cellular, it's difficult to shake the sense that the composer is simply going through the motions, even if the complexity and craftsmanship of his approach remain crystal clear.

John Ottman (born July 6, 1964) is an American film composer and editor.He is best known for collaborating with director Bryan Singer, composing and/or editing many of his films, including Public Access (1993), The Usual Suspects (1995), Superman Returns (2006), Valkyrie (2008) and Jack the Giant Slayer (2013), as well as the X-Men film series.
Cellular was released on DVD along with the VHS format on January 18, 2005. The film was released on Blu-ray on July 17, 2012. The 2007 Bollywood film Speed is an adaption of Cellular directed by Vikram Bhatt. The film stars Zayed Khan, Sanjay Suri, Urmila Matondkar, Aftab Shivdasani and Aashish Chaudhary.
