Feb 1, 2016 · So here is what I can tell you about the rifle thus far. Receiver and barrel are both marked Savage 29A Barrel is octagon. Take down model. Serial number on bottom front receiver is 260XX. It also has the letter L under that. It has checkered stocks both front and back. Here is one of the first things that puzzles me.
