This is exactly the sort of film JOHNNY APOLLO is--very entertaining and fun but also with a plot that strains credibility way beyond the breaking point. The film begins with Edward Arnold being arrested for stock fraud. Suddenly, his millions are gone and his son (Tyrone Power) must leave school and fend for himself.
When millionaire Wall Street stockbroker Robert Cain is indicted by a grand jury for embezzlement, his spoiled collegiate athlete son, Bob Jr., feels humiliated and turns his back on his father. He finds, however, that surviving on his own is not as easy as he thought.

Synopsis. After his father, a multimillion-dollar stockbroker, is indicted for embezzlement and sentenced to prison, Bob Cain Jr., feels betrayed and condemns the old man. He then quits college and begins to search for a job. Because of his father's notoriety, however, Bob is denied job after job and is still unemployed one year later.
