Joshua and the Promised Land is a 2003 low-budget All-CGI Cartoon about a young anthropomorphic lion named Joshua traveling back in time and living out the adventures of the biblical Joshua so he can learn a lesson about courage. The film is almost entirely the work of one man going under the name “Jim Lion”.
Young Joshua Carter has a visit from a guardian angel, who takes him on an adventure into the heart of the Old Testament, where he lives out the life of the real Joshua - from the crossing of the Red Sea, through the Wilderness and into the Promised Land.
Joshua and the promised land is just a mess. Generic story, disgusting animation, and NO likable characters aside from Moses. This movie is so bad that I would argue it deserves at LEAST a nomination for Worst Picture.
