Karen Miller Hi, I'm Karen Miller and I live in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York, USA. You'll find my sewing ramblings at Karen's Quilts, Crows and Cardinals blog. I've sewn most of my life and have always loved the needle arts, but I didn't start quilting until 2008 when my sister invited me to join a $1 block of the month.
Miller Juried Artist Member (JAM) Location Corvallis, OR United States Region Oregon Artist Statement My process is primarily katazome, Japanese stencil dyeing, a process more like printmaking than painting. I began carving stencils using mostly traditional Japanese patterns, learning much about cutting techniques and the layout of the design.

Hi! I'm Karen L. Miller -- owner of Redbird Quilt Co. In 2006 my sister Janet introduced me to quilting -- I fell in LOVE with free motion quilting & applique. By 2014 I'd turned that passion into a 2nd career. When I'm not sharing from our home in the Finger Lakes Region of NY, I'm traveling the countryside singing the praises of this amazing art.
