On January 30, 1976, 32-year-old Karen Klaas, (born Karen O’Grady,) the first wife of Righteous Brothers singer Bill Medley, returned to her home on 24th Place in Hermosa Beach, California. She had started the morning by dropping her youngest son, Damien 5, at the McMartin Pre-School in Manhattan Beach.
Karen Sue O'Grady was born April 22, 1943 and died February 3, 1976. She married 1st, William Medley. They have one son. She married 2nd, Gerald Klaas. They have one child. Karen's first husband, William Medley (born 1940), is a well-known singer known professionally as Bill Medley and formed half of the musical duo The Righteous Brothers.
