Success beats failure in Nobuhiro Doi’s motivational high school comedy… Since watching Flying Colors my understanding of both the words ‘inspirational’ and ‘motivational’ has rocketed to whole new heights.

Apr 28, 2016 · Gorgeous actress and tarento Kasumi Arimura (Strobe Edge, Mozu) is quite good in her role as Sayaka, presenting elaborately the transformation from a biri-gyaru that cares only about her appearance and having a good time with her girlfriends, to a bookworm who carries her books even in karaoke.
It derives from the small, colorful flags that boats fly when they come safely into port. But as Doi Nobuhiro’s zero-to-hero drama with that English title begins, it seems a most unlikely outcome for the teenage heroine, Sayaka (Arimura Kasumi).
