The Jordan sisters won the 1978 AIAW College National doubles title while playing for Stanford University. Barbara and Kathy Jordan were the first sisters to both reach a Grand Slam singles final (different tournaments) in t he Open Era and first since Maud and Lillian Watson played for the first Wimbledon women’s title in 1884.
