Apr 23, 2017 · Updated 4:06 AM PDT, April 23, 2017. NEW YORK (AP) — Sandy Gallin, an agent and talent manager who guided the careers of such luminaries as Barbra Streisand, Dolly Parton, Cher and Nicole Kidman, as well as being a TV, movie and Broadway producer, has died in Los Angeles. He was 76.

Gallin was born on May 27, 1940, in New York, the son of middle-class Jewish parents. Gallin graduated from Boston University in 1962. Career. Gallin joined the mailroom of General Artists Corporation and eventually became a senior vice president and board member. After less than a year at GAC, he became a junior agent.
