Apr 2, 2019 · Kensington Palace Afternoon Tea – Update 2019. The Orangery is currently closed for major restoration work. Traditional afternoon tea is now being served in Kensington Palace Pavilion. Although the pavilion is a temporary structure, it’s quite smart (think very posh wedding). Pleasingly, it overlooks the Sunken Garden which was planted in 1908.
