Oct 5, 2009 · Now, Phelps lives in the same neighborhood as Kent Bradford. In 1985, Phelps got a job with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission, where he still works as a pipeline safety inspector. He doesn’t attend a lot of OU games these days but still gets together with Sooner alums.
On April 28, 2023, he was inducted into the American Indian Athletic Hall of Fame at the First Americans Museum in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. His father, Kent Bradford, was an offensive lineman for the Sooners from 1977 to 1978. Bradford is an avid ice hockey fan. His favorite team is the Vancouver Canucks.
